How to play Seven
Spell as many words as you can from seven letters, using the middle one every time.
These are the rules for the PlayBurst version. Other versions may play differently.
Rules and controls
1. Read the seven letters
Six sit around the outside and one sits in the middle. Every word you spell has to use the middle letter, and the other six are optional.
2. Use a letter as often as you like
Letters are not spent. CELL, LEVEL and REVEL can all come out of the same seven, and a letter used twice in a word costs nothing.
3. Spell and enter
Tap letters to build a word, then press Enter. Delete takes the last letter back and Shuffle moves the outer six around, which is the fastest way to see a word you were staring past.
4. Longer is worth more
A four-letter word is worth one point and every longer word is worth its length. A word using all seven letters is worth seven points on top, and is marked with a star.
5. Climb the ranks
Your rank is a share of everything the seven letters can make, so it means the same thing on an easy set and a hard one. Reach Master and the round is over.
6. See what you missed
Press the chequered flag at any time to end the round. The list then fills in with every word the puzzle held, so the ones you did not find are there to read.
