How to play Spades
Meet your partnership's bid while avoiding extra tricks.
These are the rules for the PlayBurst version. Other versions may play differently.
Rules and controls
1. Bid
Look at your hand and say how many tricks you will win. Your partnership needs the total of both bids.
2. Play
Follow the suit led. Spades are always trump and beat any other suit. You may not lead spades until one has been played, unless your hand contains only spades.
3. Score
Make your bid for ten points a trick, plus one for each trick over it. Miss it and you lose ten a trick. Those extra tricks are also bags, and ten bags costs you a hundred.
