How to play Blocks

Rules and controls

1. 1. Read the blocks

   Heavy lines cut the grid into blocks of two, three or four squares. A block holds those letters, but not in that order, and the letters it still has spare are printed in its empty squares.

2. 2. Tap to place a letter

   Each tap moves a square to the next letter its own block has left, then back to empty. A square can never take a letter from a different block, so the only thing to work out is the words.

3. 3. Watch the rows and columns

   A row or column turns red once it is full and is not a word. Nothing is marked while it still has a gap in it, so a half-finished line is never called wrong.

4. 4. Fill the grid

   All eight lines have to read at once: four across and four down. The board is finished the moment the last square goes in and nothing is red.
